This two day course teaches you how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue. It will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis – and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.
This two-day mental health first aid course qualifies delegates as Mental Health First Aiders. Our Mental Health First Aid Trainer, combines their lived experience with professional knowledge to deliver empowering and engaging training.
Through education we can drive down the judgement and stigma, that surrounds and support ourselves and others.
This course is suitable for those looking to understand and improve their knowledge about mental health and to learn the skills to support their own and others’ positive wellbeing in the workplace.
Please be aware that this course focuses on employees in the workplace and covers subjects that some people may find distressing, including suicide and self-harm. If a delegate feels overwhelmed, they can leave the course at any time.
Delegates must be 16 or older to attend this course.
Trainer lead sessions with a mixture of individual and group activities. There is plenty of time allocated to discuss the topics as well as time to reflect on the information shared.
